After being laid off from a her job as a reporter at a local Las Vegas radio station, Desiree began blogging as a way to continue doing news and to keep up her journalism skills. She quickly launched “
MommyReporter.com,” a daily updated blog that provides today’s mom with useful, family-friendly news and information. As Mommy Reporter, Desiree covers breaking news, offers product reviews, and even profiles interesting women and mothers. Her blog has led to numerous opportunities to work with many notable companies including LogiTech, Proctor and Gamble, The Dial Corporation, and Sky Angel, LLC. She is currently on the mom bloggers panel for PBS KIDS Sprout and Today’s Mama, and she also volunteers as the “blog coach” for students and instructors at Kaplan University.
